The Land Rover LR2
The Land Rover LR2 complements your action-packed life – and does so with consummate style. It features a number of advanced technologies, such as Terrain Response®, for added capability and confidence, as well as delivering comfort, handling and refinement. LR2 is available with a 3.2 liter, 230-horsepower, inline six-cylinder engine. The LR2 features a six-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift® as standard. Advanced features include cruise control (conveniently located with the audio controls on the steering wheel), automatic dual zone climate control, and panoramic sunroof. There are sporty 18 inch sparkle finish alloy wheels with the option of 19-inch, 10 spoke sparkle finish alloy wheels. Also available is DVD satellite navigation, and Bluetooth® connectivity, three facia finishers with either Silver Element, Dark Chestnut or Black Lacquer Finish.
- The refined and powerful 3.2 liter i6 engine produces 230 bhp and employs advanced technologies, including Cam Profile Switching and Variable Valve Timing for more power, a better spread of torque and greater efficiency. The standard six-speed automatic transmission comes with CommandShift® which allows the driver to make manual sequential changes. Sport mode offers an even livelier performance. This engine achieves 0-60mh in 8.4 seconds.
- A six-speed automatic transmission with CommandShift® and sport mode is standard on LR2 models with the i6 petrol engines. CommandShift® provides all the advantages of an automatic transmission and also allows the driver to make manual sequential changes, and Sport mode offers even livelier performance.
- An innovative full-time intelligent 4x4 system is always there when you need it. The electronic center coupling continuously varies the drive to suit conditions and deliver better on-road fuel economy too.
- Tackle tough conditions confidently with Land Rover's patented Terrain Response® technology. A turn of the dial reconfigures the engine, transmission, and traction settings for optimum driveability across a variety of conditions: tarmac, grass, gravel, snow, mud, ruts and sand.
- Electronic Traction Control (ETC) is a sophisticated stability control system that senses when wheel slip is occurring and uses the braking system to minimize it.
- Cornering Brake Control (CBC) feeds additional brake force to the outside front wheel when cornering. This minimizes the risk of rear-end breakaway when braking hard.
- Dynamic Stability Control improves the vehicle’s handling during acceleration or cornering. It also helps compensate for vehicle handling when towing a trailer. By constantly monitoring the wheels, the system detects any deviation from the chosen line and immediately corrects it by applying braking to the appropriate wheels.
- While no technology can remove the need for safe driving practice, the Roll Stability Control (RSC) system can help the driver to maintain vehicle control and balance. If the system senses that the vehicle is approaching a tipping point, it will reduce engine power and use the ABS to increase the turn radius to help reduce the likelihood of roll-over.
- The LR2 benefits from the classic Land Rover Command Driving Position. This places the driver in an elevated position, inspiring confidence and a feeling of being in control. The improved visibility also means potential hazards can be spotted well in advance
- The interior environment is enhanced by the panoramic sunroof, which incorporates an electrically operated front section that slides and tilts. The glass is specially formulated to filter the infrared spectrum – letting in light, but not heat. The sunroof also includes convenient blinds that can cover both the front and rear sections.
- For the ultimate in-car entertainment system, the premium Alpine® Dolby® Pro Logic® II 7.1 surround sound system with 14 speakers and a 12x40W amplifier plus MP3 digital music compatibility offers the last word in pure listening pleasure for the true audiophile.
- Bluetooth® enabled LR2 offers a fully integrated mobile phone system as a factory fit option on some models. With this system, the user can connect a Land Rover approved mobile phone handset to the vehicle and access many of the important functions via the vehicle's keypad and steering wheel switches. Features of the Bluetooth® system (dependent on phone handset capability) include:

• Routing of calls through the audio system
• Access through the audio display and controls to functions Bluetooth® Connectivity allows calls to be made via voice control, steering wheel operation or touch-screen. You can also enter (or update) phone name tags with the sound of your voice, and control the audio system and interior cabin climate via spoken command.
