Safety
|
- Intelligent Lighting System features automatic on/off
operation. If it detects low light levels or that the
windshield wipers are operating, it automatically switches
on sidelights and dipped headlights
- Xenon headlights with washers and automatic leveling
(optional on XF, standard on all other models)
- Blind spot monitor uses radar sensors to remotely cover
areas that cannot be seen either directly or by mirror,
it alerts you to overtaking traffic with an amber warning icon
in the side mirrors (optional on XF, standard on all other models)
- Rear parking aid (includes touch-screen visual indicator)
uses ultrasonic sensors mounted in the bumper to detect
objects up to 70 inches behind the vehicle. An audible
warning system alerts the driver to the proximity of objects
including a graphic display on the Touch-screen
- Front parking aid using four sensors to detect any nearby
obstacle and alert the driver with an audible signal and a
graphic display on the Touch-screen (optional on XF,
standard on all other models)
- Active Differential Control continuously adapts to driver
demands and the available grip on each wheel. it uses
multiplate clutch to avoid slippage (XFR only)
- Adaptive Dynamics monitors body and wheel movements
and constantly adjust roll and pitch ratios and wheel
damper settings for the best balance of ride and comfort
and handling precision (XFR only)
- Rear parking camera combines a rear-facing digital
video camera with the Touch-screen information center
(optional on XF, standard on all other models)
- Rain sensing windshield wipers

- Variable Gear-Ratio Steering adjust responsiveness based on vehicles speed (GS460 only)
- Adaptive Variable Suspension system offers you the choice between a Normal or Sport setting. The system automatically senses the character of the road and constantly monitors your steering and braking movements, and then adjusts the shock absorbers to maintain your selected comfort or performance level (Standard on GS460, option on GS350)
- Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management is a system which integrates braking, steering, Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control systems to help minimize loss of traction in a turn

- Jaguar Smart Key System, featuring Keyless start
and Keyless entry, has been designed for maximum
driver convenience. Keyless start is activated as you
get into the car, just press the start/stop button and the
engine starts. Approach the XF Premium,
XF Supercharged or XFR with the Jaguar Smart Key
in your bag or pocket, pull the door release and the
system triggers the security-protected opening and
lock or double-lock when leaving the vehicle by simply
pressing or double pressing a door handle button
- Automatic climate control, the dual zone system
incorporates individual cabin temperature control for
both driver and front passenger. Rotating vents present
a smooth, flush face when the ignition is turned off,
but switch silently from their closed position to being
fully open when the engine starts
- Adaptive Cruise Control, the radar calculates the
speed and distance of the vehicle in front and reduces
and resumes speed accordingly
- Advanced Emergency Brake Assist coupled with
adaptive cruise control pre-charges brakes for a faster
response in the event of an emergency

- Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System equips the front and rear stabilizer bars with an electronic actuator. Wheel-speed and steering-wheel-angle sensors send information to the system's Electronic Control Unit, which calculates how much force is needed to help keep the vehicle flat in a turn (GS460 only)
- Mark Levinson Surround Sound System features 14 speakers, 7.1-channel architecture and 330 watts
- Voice-Activated Hard Disk Drive Navigation System stores maps and data, which allows it to operate much faster than previous DVD-based models. Additionally, it can recognize over 100 voice commands
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control maintains a pre-set following distance from the vehicle traveling in front of you and is integrated with the available Pre-Collision System
- Back up camera
- Intuitive Parking Assist uses sensors integrated into the front and rear bumpers help detect how close your vehicle is to surrounding objects
- Pre-Collision System can detect when a frontal collision is imminent and take measures to help reduce impact damage
